Fun fact: I had my own golfing webshop at the age of 18
I come from the Danish island Mors in northern Jutland. I love (and hate...) the game of golf, which I have been playing since I was a little kid, and it has been a huge part of my life so far. As boring as golf might sound to some, the fact that you are always competing with yourself and that there is always room for improvement is what makes it really exiting. Other than that, I have always had an interest in economics and business in general, which is ultimately the reason why I moved to Aarhus to get a degree.
I quickly picked up DC's reputation of having a great culture, a winning mentality and lots of room for responsibility. For me, this is the optimal place to gain some working experience while studying.
Jonas Bukhave Nielsen, Junior Portfolio Assistant
I work as a Junior Portfolio Analyst in the Physical Asset Management team. In short, I help optimise and balance our combined heat- and powerplants portfolio in Denmark and Norway, besides having the responsibility for the physical handling of our biogas portfolio.
I really have no typical day. The tasks I am presented with is very versatile and differs each day. Some days, I might build tools with the purpose of automating and streamlining our business processes. Other days, I might be performing analyses on the Danish power market and our subsequent performance.
The best part of my job is the fact that every day in DC offers new challenges. Other than that, being surrounded by such talented and inspirational people really motivates me, and the fact that the environment is so fast-paced and the energy levels are so high is just something to love about DC.
