Fun fact: I once kissed "The Lady" in the hull of SS Coolidge
Before settling in Aarhus to pursue a degree in Economics, I spent four months in the Fiji Islands with a few trips to some surrounding island groups. Here, my interest in Economics was elevated due to the focus on societal issues and wide applications.
I sent my application based on expectations of being able to be part of a company where I could put my coursework in perspective.
Kenneth Kjær Jensen, Junior Dispatcher
I work as a Dispatcher on the Intraday trading floor where the overall aim is to ensure balance in all active grids. When working on the trading floor, we have a wide range of tasks which puts us in contact with the whole company, external stakeholders and operators. To achieve our goals, we continuously optimise our processes by maintaining and developing new tools.
On the shift, I do the daily routine in collaboration with the traders. However, only a few days are alike due to the high pace on the trading floor which often requires finding a solution with deadlines approaching. Besides that, a typical day consists of working with projects currently in progress which spans from maintaining a tool to analysing new trading opportunities.
I have a lot of fun while being able to learn and develop skills I could not attain by taking a few more ECTS points.
The success of our company is built on having the brightest minds working across the entire organisation.
