Trader Trainee for Power Markets team

Right now we are looking for a Trader Trainee to join an ambitious team who trades power in the Nordic area.  Besides trading in this area, your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain business tools used on a daily basis, make market analysis for improving decision taking and constantly contribute to our trading strategies and general business development in the team.

The right candidate for this position can both be on the final year of the Master’s degree, e.g. writing thesis and would like to have an exciting and flexible student job on the site, or a newly graduate within subjects such as Finance, Economy, Mathematics or similar. If you start as a student employee, we expect that you will continue in the role as a full-time Trader Trainee when you have finished your studies. In the job, you will get a thorough introduction to energy trading and the role as a Trader Trainee, and starting out you will work closely together with the Lead Trader.

We are looking for a candidate who is eager to develop, have a passion for trading and numbers, and who are ready to make a difference. By nature you are always challenging the status quo and looking for opportunities to optimise. Responsibilities

  • trading in the Nordic area
  • identify, build and maintain business tools and models for optimising the daily work and ensuring growth for Nordic trading
  • contribute with various analysis that better the decision input for traders in the Nordic
  • manage and optimise new trading strategies
  • fully understand the drivers in the Nordics, in order to independently take positions in the market
  • contribute proactively to the general business development

Qualifications

We expect that you:

  • are talented and interested in trading
  • are on your final year of your Master’s degree or a newly graduate within Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar
  • wants to understand the dynamics of the trading business
  • have a good command of English both written and verbal
  • are proactive in your analysis and always seek to optimise where possible
  • can identify risks and manage them professionally
