Analytical Student Employee for our Intraday Team

Would you like to make a direct difference for one of Europe’s leading Intraday trading teams? And are you passionate about numbers, data and the possibility to optimise our trading strategies through analysis? Then you might be our new Student Employee.

Right now, we are looking for a Junior Trading Analyst who can help us to further optimise our intraday products through various analysis and robust tools. Besides that, you are expected to support our full-time analysts with performance evaluation and following-up on trading strategies. 

When starting, you will be working closely together with both analysts and experienced traders and you will get a profound introduction to the energy markets and the life as a trading analyst. You will be a part of a young and passionate team that always challenge themselves to be the best, and you will work in a high-paced environment where your analysis will play an important role in the daily business.

Responsibilities

  • optimise the profitability of all Intraday products through analysis
  • support the Intraday trading teams with various analysis, development of trading tools and trading strategies
  • ensure a clear follow-up on trading strategies, including follow-up with the trading teams on the output
  • performance evaluation of trading strategies and business areas
  • contribute proactively to the general business development in the team

Qualifications

We expect that you:

  • are enrolled in an relevant university level education within Economics, Finance, Mathematics or similar
  • have experience with Excel
  • preferably, have experience with a programming language such as R, VBA, Python or C#, however not a requirement for applying
  • preferably have experience with Power BI, however not a requirement for applying
  • have a good command of English both written and verbal
  • are proactive in your analysis and always seek to optimise where possible, and have the ability to present your analysis to the traders
