Senior Portfolio Manager for Structured Power Trading

Right now, we are looking to hire a talented Senior Portfolio Manager to join our ambitious Structured Power Trading & Certificates team. In the job, you will have direct PnL responsibility for the Structured Power Trading portfolio, and it will be your primary responsibility to actively manage these portfolios, price new customer contracts as well as setting the commercial direction for the future portfolios. 

You will join a team of dedicated Portfolio Managers and Quantitative Analysts, who are constantly challenging themselves and each other to optimise the business and be even better than they were yesterday. The right candidate

for this position is highly ambitious, not afraid to take responsibility and is by nature a self-starter with a high drive to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • direct PnL responsibility for the Structured Power Trading portfolio through active management of portfolio positions and pricing of new customer contracts
  • commercial direction of future Structured Power Trading portfolio
  • design and take actions to optimise portfolio P&L
  • act as senior commercial portfolio manager and have awareness and overview of all Structured Power Trading portfolio positions and risks and interact with the Power Markets team
  • deal optimisation and execution
  • work with Originators on deal structuring and contract development
  • work with Quantitative Analysts to continually improve position overviews and pricing tools
  • perform deal analysis and valuation
  • design and propose optimisations
  • provide backup and support to other Portfolio Managers in Structured Power Trading both for pricing and position management
  • development of trading strategies and innovative hedge instruments to improve existing portfolio
  • participation in product development and implementation
  • pricing of standard and non-standard power products

Qualifications

We expect that you:

  • hold a relevant Master or PhD degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar
  • preferably have 2-5 years of experience as a Portfolio Manager in the energy or financial industry
  • have good command of English both written and verbal
  • are proactive in your analysis and always seek to optimise where possible
