Are you our new Portfolio Manager?

Right now, we are looking for a talented Portfolio Manager to join our ambitious Physical Asset Management team. Your primary task will be to take the responsibility for a set of our existing portfolios of renewable and consumption assets, interacting with stakeholders along the complete value chain within Danske Commodities. You will play an important role in enhancing the performance of the portfolio by performing portfolio analysis, developing trading strategies and building operational tools and forecasting models.

The right candidate for this position can either be finishing the studies this summer or have experience from a similar position. If you are newly educated, you will get a thorough introduction to the energy industry and your tasks as a Portfolio Manager in the team. You will be working closely together with five dedicated Portfolio Managers who manages all aspects of our short-term related products including, but not limited to, pricing, forecasting, and day-a-head trading.


  • manage a portfolio of renewable and consumption assets
  • perform portfolio analysis and monitor the portfolio PnL and risk
  • develop, implement and improve forecasting models and tools
  • participate in development of bidding and trading strategies
  • drive the implementation of new systems and databases in the team
  • follow up on analysis/forecast performance and take ownership for improvements
  • be available to take shift routines in the forecasting team, working on weekdays as well as weekends
  • actively take part in knowledge sharing and sparring across teams
  • contribute to new business development


We expect that you:

  • hold a relevant Master or PhD degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar
  • have great programming skills in R, MatLab, Python, C++ or similar
  • have experience with SQL - and experience working with databases is an advantage
  • have good command of English both written and verbal
  • are proactive in your analysis and always seek to optimise where possible
