Compliance Specialist for Legal & Compliance

Do you want to work in one of Europe’s leading energy trading companies and use your compliance skills in the field of energy trading, market regulation and practical implementation? We are levelling up our Compliance function to continue the development of the already strong compliance culture in Danske Commodities, and we hope that you could be our new colleague.

When joining us as our new Compliance Specialist, we acknowledge you may not be an expert in everything, but it is important that you are eager to learn how to facilitate, develop and implement business-oriented solutions in a compliance perspective. Your main tasks will be to build up a strong knowledge on the regulatory requirements relevant for Danske Commodities and execute the implementation of such regulatory requirements, whilst concurrently working with the establishment of control functions across the organisation.

The right candidate for this position is either newly graduated or has a few years of experience working with compliance. As a person, you are a good communicator, have a structured approach to your work and find it motivating to work with people who are highly passionate about their jobs. Finally, it is crucial that you have a great interest in compliance and want to learn how to apply it in the field of energy trading.

In the job, you will have a close sparring partner and mentor in our Compliance Officer, but you will also be a close business partner to our business and support teams in the organisation. You will become part of a highly skilled Legal & Compliance team, which consists of 12 dedicated colleagues who work to high standards to constantly support our business.


  • monitor and report on regulatory developments in the markets that DC operates in
  • draft and update internal guidelines
  • support internal regulatory and compliance training programs
  • support the development of new products and entry into new markets
  • support our GDPR compliance setup
  • contribute to the establishment of relevant controls
  • contribute when DC interacts with regulators and trading venues on regulatory matters
  • proactively support the organisation on regulatory matters


We expect that you:

  • have a master’s degree in Law or Business Administration combined with Law (cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur)
  • have an interest for and experience with regulatory matters
  • think strategically and have the ability to drive things forward
  • have analytic and structured approach
  • have a good command of English both written and oral
  • are highly ambitious and always deliver quality work
