German Originator for Danske Commodities

Your main responsibilities will be to manage existing customer relations with various stakeholders as well as identify and establish new business that fits our company competencies and risk appetite. Overall, you are responsible for the entire value chain from initial customer contact, negotiation of contract to onboarding of the customer.

The ideal candidate has some experience from the energy sector, and an existing network amongst industrial players and trading companies. Further, you have a good understanding of the power markets as well as cross country experience. As a person you are driven, not afraid to take responsibility, and by nature find it easy to build relations.   • manage existing customer relations with renewables asset owners, interconnectors, conventional assets and public utilities
  • identify and establish new business that fits company competencies and risk appetite. This could include VPP’s, Corporate PPA’s etc.
  • engage with the DC trading teams to understand what positions they want in their books
  • cover the whole value chain from initial customer contact to negotiation and onboarding
  • identify and negotiate strategic partnerships in markets where such business model makes sense


We expect that you:

  • hold a relevant master’s degree in Economics, Engineering or similar
  • preferably, have experience from the energy sector
  • preferably, have a network amongst renewables asset owners, conventional assets companies, trading companies, large industrials and/or funds that invests in renewables/conventional assets
  • understand power markets
  • ideally, have experience with structuring and negotiating VPP’s/PPA’s – on either side of the table
  • have great negotiation skills
  • are fluent in German and English – both written and oral
