Trader Trainee for Power Markets team

Are you hungry to learn how to trade in one of the most successful trading companies in Europe? And would you like to work in an environment where you have direct influence on the business? As our new Trader Trainee in the CWE team, you will contribute to our continued success in the European energy markets.

What we do and what you can expect
In the Central Western Europe (CWE) team, we are active in many areas throughout Europe, and primarily focus on identifying and trading opportunities that lie within the shorter end of the curve. You will join a team with a very strong team spirit. We help and spar with each other on a daily basis and are very committed.

Once you are fully up to speed, your tasks will be threefold; you will primarily be trading in the continental area, but you will also help with maintainance and development of our business tools and actively contribute to the analyses surrounding our trading strategies. Through it all, you will learn from and develop with the help of your colleagues, who all have great experience.

Your journey as a trader
No matter what your experience level is, we will take good care of you when you start your job as a Trader Trainee.

The first three months will consist of an introduction to your tasks, the team and how the power market works. Your new colleagues will guide you every step of the way and teach you the ins and outs of the business.

Down the road, you will create value by managing your own positions and develop into a strong trader, who bases decisions on fundamentals. You will also be expected to contribute to the further business development in the team and be an active part in optimising our trading strategies.

Our new Trader Trainee can have various backgrounds, ranging from a degree within e.g. Finance or Economics to having experience from another industry. What really characterises a good trader is an innate winning mentality that makes you scour every possible opportunity in the market, combined with a great ability to reflect and act on analyses.

From the very beginning, you will be situated in the middle of our trading floor, and you will quickly get your hands on the mouse and experience what it is like to be a part of a dynamic trading team
