Quantitative Developer/Analyst to build gas trading tools and strategies

Would you like to make razor-sharp analyses and write high performance code, creating value every single day?

Danske Commodities is a leading energy trading house. We trade power and gas across borders and use our market knowledge and 24-hour trading setup to support our customers through tailor-made services targeting renewable producers, conventional assets and energy suppliers.

Join us to analyse versatile data and develop strategic tools that make it simple for our gas traders to act quickly and make sound and profitable transactions.

Welcome to Gas Systems & Automation
You will join a highly skilled team of analysts and system specialists in Gas Systems & Automation. Together, we equip our gas traders with a broad suite of market execution tools as well as data-driven decision-making models and trading strategies. To do so, we work closely together with gas traders, portfolio managers and business developers to generate new ideas and strengthen our gas trading business.

Drive the development of execution tools and trading strategies
You will start out by getting a thorough introduction to the team and our entire setup in terms of systems, tools and models. Once you are up and running, you will help extend our existing suite of execution tools with identified business logic.

Driving your own projects, you will analyse, specify, develop, test and implement new solutions. Throughout the process, you are in close dialogue with the traders to ensure that your solution meets business needs and that the traders are fully equipped to use it.

In time, you will be responsible for developing data-driven trading strategies. This could for instance be complex machine learning models that contribute to profitable decision-making based on fundamentals influencing the gas market.

Both your colleagues and the market itself provide continuous feedback to your work, so you can really see the impact you make – and accelerate your learning curve
