Student employee for Credit Risk Management

Are you looking to get a student job where you can use your economic toolbox and detail-oriented approach to create value? And are you comfortable working with various stakeholders both inside and outside the organisation? Then this student position, where you will get a lot of responsibility and develop your skill set even further, may be just the job for you.

Join a team of dedicated specialists
In Credit Risk Management, we are responsible for the monitoring of DC’s credit exposure. On a daily basis, this includes monitoring of counterparty exposure, including handling of various reports and communication with our brokers and specific counterparts. Furthermore, we assist our business teams in different cases focusing on a thorough assessment of the credit risk DC is facing. In the team, we have a lot of contact with both internal and external stakeholders and we work in the interface between compliance and credit risk, meaning that we have a wide range of competencies in the team that you will be able to learn from.

You will join a team of four committed colleagues, who work closely together with various teams in DC. When joining Credit Risk Management, you will get a thorough introduction to the team, your tasks and the way we manage credit risk and compliance risk in DC. Down the road, you will have a significant role in our daily monitoring and communication with both internal and external stakeholders – and you will have a key role in supporting the further development of Credit Risk Management as a team at DC.

Structured and detail-oriented colleague
We are looking for a colleague who is studying a relevant university level degree within finance, economics or similar, and who would like a job that entails both monthly reporting, various credit analyses and stakeholder communication. As most of our reports and tools are built in VBA and SQL, we are looking for a colleague who has experience with or, most importantly, is interested in learning these programmes. The reports and analyses we conduct are essential to our business, both in terms of correctness and deadlines, which is why we are looking for a colleague, who has an inherently structured approach to the job as well as a keen eye for detail.

We Offer

  • professional and skilled colleagues, who set the bar high
  • great opportunities for individual development
  • flexible working hours
  • numerous social and professional events incl. sporting events and parties
  • an office in the heart of Aarhus, next to the central train station

  • assist and support with relevant development tasks within the team, including improvement of our existing monitoring tools and development of new tools and reports
  • maintain and optimise our daily monitoring tools through the use of e.g. VBA (including margin call sheets, broker reports, etc.)
  • assist with preparing monthly reports
  • perform various ad hoc credit analyses and assist with the daily communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • provide support in connection with credit evaluations
  • work approx. 15-20 hours a week

We expect that you:

  • are enrolled in a relevant university degree within Finance, Economics or similar
  • preferably, have experience within VBA, SQL or similar – or most importantly the interest in learning the tools
  • are fluent in English – both written and verbal

Personal Skills

We expect that you:

  • are a team player who values cooperation and interaction across teams, but also has the discipline to work independently on your own tasks
  • are analytical and curious when analysing data – on a daily basis, we assist the business with data used for decision making
  • are well-organised and pay attention to detail – we need to be on top of our exposure with external counterparties, which requires attention to processes and quality, even when there are short deadlines
  • have a positive attitude: no job too big, no job too small – the pace is high at DC and we help each other get the job done
