Student Employee for Power Markets Analysis

Are you looking for an opportunity to get a student job that makes a direct difference for one of Europe’s most successful trading companies? And are you a number cruncher with a flair for data and coding? Right now, we have a job opening as a student employee for Power Markets Analysis, where your work will be used to make daily trading decisions.

Help improve trading decisions
Power Markets Analysis is a team of highly dedicated analysts, who, besides data crunching, all love to code. We develop quantitative models to forecast power prices, describe market dynamics and price complex products across most of the European power markets. To provide this essential information to our traders and portfolio managers, we rely on in-depth analysis and structuring of processes and tools. We convert data to actionable knowledge that drives trading results and decisions. In our daily work, we work side-by-side with the traders, linking trading decisions with quantitative modelling and data.

Learn from the best and develop your skills to become an expert
You will join a team of seven full-time colleagues and two student analysts with strong quantitative skills, who primarily have a background within Economics, Natural Sciences or similar, so you will have a great opportunity to learn from your experienced colleagues and develop yourself further.

In the first period, you will be introduced to the European power markets and you will quickly begin actively contributing with analyses and ideas on how to solve coding and data problems. On the longer term, you will evolve into an expert with ownership of your own tools and models.

Technical skilled and eager to learn
We imagine that you are well underway with your bachelor’s degree in either Economics, Physics, Engineering or similar. As part of your technical toolbox, you have an intermediate level of programming experience and, most importantly, the hunger to learn more. And as a person, you thrive in a dynamic environment and take pride in having an eye for detail in everything you do. So, if you are ready to turn theory into practice – come join us!

We expect and encourage you to take responsibility and deliver quality solutions – personal empowerment, knowledge sharing and our technical platform make the Power Markets Analysis team a special place to be!
