Business Controlling at Danske Commodities (DC)
In the Business Controlling Trading & Clearing team, our primary task is to calculate P&L for the business teams and ensure correct monthly closing. We analyse and report P&L and other financial numbers, and work a lot with data using SQL, VBA, and Power BI. We focus on process optimisation, both within our own team and for the entire Finance & Accounting department.
As our new business controller, you will join a young team with motived and hardworking colleagues. We always strive to find the most optimal solution for the team and for DC. As a team, we are solution-oriented and take full responsibility for our tasks. And as individuals, we are ambitious and apply a proactive approach to our work.
Your journey to become the business controller of our gas team
No matter your level of experience, you will get a thorough introduction to DC, the team, your tasks, and our role in Finance & Accounting. This include introduction and training in SQL and VBA. When you are onboarded in your new role, you will be given the responsibility to control the trading activities of the gas business. You will be responsible for monthly closing and take the lead on communicating monthly results to the business team manager. On the longer run, you will work independently on streamlining the various tools, databases and processes used in business controlling. You will also proactively search for new areas or processes to improve in the team and focus on delivering insight into the P&L numbers, carrying out analyses to show different trends.
