Two unique student opportunities in Legal & Compliance
Danske Commodities (DC) is a leading energy trading company. Every day, we complete thousands of trades, constantly moving energy from where there is more than needed to where it is needed most.
We are currently looking to hire two ambitious student employees with great legal toolboxes for our Legal team and our Compliance team. Based on your profile and your interests, we will strive to match you with the position that we believe would fit you the best; however, you are welcome to state in the application what your main interests are.
Legal & Compliance at DC
In the Legal team, we work closely with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the organisation from trading teams to Senior Leadership, mitigating legal risks and providing relevant input for decision making. We create value on both an operational and a strategic level, supporting the entire organisation with high-quality legal advice and support in drafting and negotiating contracts.
In the Compliance team, we ensure compliance with rules and regulations governing the energy markets. More specifically market abuse regulations and other rules applicable under REMIT (energy wholesale products) and MAR, EMIR and MiFID II (financial products). The other major part of our work is within Anti-bribery and Corruption rules, Anti-money laundering, personal data (GDPR) and in general efforts related to ensuring a high level within ethics and integrity.
Your role as a student employee in Legal & Compliance
When joining DC, we will make sure you will get a thorough introduction to the team and DC. You will quickly get your own tasks and projects – of which we expect you to take responsibility. You will be an integrated part of Legal & Compliance consisting of 14 highly skilled professionals, who are passionate about their work and who walk the extra mile when it is necessary. On the longer term, you will gain a deeper knowledge on the various tasks within Legal & Compliance, making you a valuable resource in DC’s efforts to ensure an efficient and proactive way or working.
Weekly working hours are expected to be approximately 10-15 hours, and you will have the opportunity to work extra hours during holidays.
