Danske Commodities (DC) is an energy trading company that specialises in short-term power and gas trading and offers balancing, optimisation and hedging services to energy producers and suppliers. Every day, we complete more than 8500 trades across 39 countries, constantly moving energy from where there is more than needed to where it is needed most. DC is a wholly owned subsidiary to Norwegian energy company Equinor, operating under its own name and brand.
Commercial Business Development (CBD) engages on a wide variety internal and external projects. The team facilitates, develops and assesses new commercial business opportunities with Equinor and third parties and drive projects as part of our global trading and market development strategy. Specifically, this means we take the lead on large-scale market entry projects in new regions. Additionally, we support our colleagues across DC and Equinor with advisory and analysis, like market scans for corporate strategies or new energy products for Equinor.

A unique student job opportunity with loads of responsibility and learning opportunities
First of all, we will make sure you start out by getting a thorough introduction to DC, the team and your tasks. We will ensure you get a thorough introduction to the knowledge and skills needed to be part of the team, so you can join important projects from the get-go. During the first six months, we will ensure you gain understanding of power and climate markets, regional differences and similarities and understanding of the fundamental price drivers within energy trading. Down the road, you will initiate and execute independent projects together with stakeholders from the project team, your colleagues from CBD and sometimes on your own.
