Trade Controller to support our growing green certificates business

Are you structured and detail-oriented? And do you possess strong stakeholder management skills? Then you might be the perfect fit for our Trade Controlling function within our Finance & Accounting team.

Green certificates at Danske Commodities

Danske Commodities (DC) is an energy trading company that specialises in short-term power and gas trading and offers balancing, optimisation and hedging services to energy producers and suppliers. Every day, we complete more than 8,500 trades across 39 countries, constantly moving energy from where there is more than needed to where it is needed most. DC is a wholly owned subsidiary to Norwegian energy company Equinor, operating under its own name and brand. Energy markets are currently undergoing a green transition, which has created an increasing demand for new climate products, and, thus, also green certificates. To succeed with our growing green certificate business, we must ensure a professional and thorough controlling of all certificates as well as the operational and financial handling of all new climate products in our system.

Become part of a function where you get to use your solid stakeholder management skills

You will become part of a small subteam within our Finance & Accounting team. The subteam has a shared goal of ensuring the controlling of different trading products and to support the organisation when entering new market areas or trading new products. Your particular focus will be on new climate products and green certificates. The role entails managing different stakeholders across both finance and trading, in particular our climate markets trading teams. Therefore, we expect that you enjoy working with different stakeholders and have solid stakeholder management skills that you are eager to put to use. As a person, we expect that you are not afraid to take responsibility for defining and driving processes. In addition, the candidate we are looking for has a flair for numbers, employs a structured approach to tasks and enjoys diving into details.

Get valuable insight into green certificates in a continuously growing organisation

Your most important responsibility will be to ensure the controlling of green certificates and handling of new climate products in our system. To help you succeed, you will get a thorough introduction to DC, the IT & Finance team and your subteam, along with your tasks and the trading products within our Climate Markets team. Starting out, you will get an understanding of our controlling setup, including trade confirmations, delivery and settlements of different types of certificates. On the longer term, you will be responsible for setting up new products in our systems as well as ensuring the optimisation of processes and procedures.

This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where you will learn much about controlling in an international energy trading company.
