PORTFOLIO MANAGER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL COMMODITY MARKETS

Are you curious about environmental commodity markets and the future of sustainable energy trading? Can you see yourself managing your own books in a collaborative team that shares knowledge and help each other? Whether you have experience from a similar position or just have pure dedication towards becoming an environmental commodity market pro, you might be our new portfolio manager for DC’s ambitious Climate Markets team!

Climate Markets’ essential role in the energy transition

Danske Commodities (DC) is an energy trading company that specialises in short-term power and gas trading and offers balancing, optimisation and hedging services to energy producers and suppliers. Every day, we complete more than 8500 trades across 39 countries, constantly moving energy from where there is more than needed to where it is needed most. DC is a wholly-owned subsidiary to Norwegian energy company Equinor, operating under our own name and brand.

The Climate Markets team at DC trades a variety of different environmental products spanning from renewable electricity certificates and carbon emissions markets to biofuel products. We have a stern focus on business development as the energy transition calls for new environmental products. Furthermore, we manage Equinor’s flow on different environmental products and constantly explore new synergies within the Group. This means that you will join a team with an extraordinary focus on sustainable energy trading on a large scale.

Join a team of experts – always focusing on value creation

Our Climate Markets team consists of six passionate energy professionals with backgrounds in Finance, Economics and Business Development. We are characterised by a mix of portfolio managers and business developers, which sets the foundation for creating an environment in which people take responsibility and help each other. And we always focus on value creation for our different books and portfolios. As such, we prefer to employ an opportunistic approach to the business development activities we engage in, so we can create value at all times.

Get started trading environmental commodity markets

No matter your level of experience, we will make sure you get a good understanding of DC, the team and your tasks. The first task will be to get a solid understanding of the products and books we have in the Climate Markets team. We will also introduce you to our systems and reporting tools. Shortly after your onboarding, you will start executing trades and manage flow books.

You will become part of a trading team that is an important part of shaping the energy transition for the entire Equinor Group
