Danske Commodities' Business Accelerator in the news

Aarhus, Denmark, 6 June, 2017

In an article in Jyllands-Posten published today, Danske Commodities' CEO Henrik Lind talks about the company's plan to take in new business ideas and commodities through our Business Accelerator programme. The article is written in Danish, so we have extracted the main points.

What is Business Accelerator?
Business Accelerator is DC’s programme for on-boarding new commercial ideas into our business. We want to form a partnership with people or small companies that have a solid, proven business case, but lack the organisational setup or the market access to accelerate their business. The aim is to accelerate the business idea for the benefit of our partners as well as DC.

What kind of business ideas are we looking for?
We are looking for strong business ideas and cases, where we can achieve early market entry and a niche market position by joining forces. We are also looking for business cases that are scalable.

What kind of commodities are we interested in?
As a rule, we are open to any good ideas, but we are of course evaluating all enquires thoroughly in order to ensure that only the best ideas get through the eye of the needle. As an example, we could be looking for future partners that have a proven track record trading corn or different types of metal, but need DC’s expertise and setup to grow any further.

What can DC offer potential partners?
First and foremost, we offer DC’s brand and platform. We have a good reputation and extensive experience with trading commodities as well as a commercial setup that can accelerate ideas and existing businesses. By using our core competences to accelerate new business ideas, we hope to create a win-win situation for potential partners and DC.
