Strategy & Communications at Danske Commodities

As a marketing project manager, you will be joining the Strategy & Communications team, which is a key staff function at Danske Commodities (DC), reporting directly to the CEO. The team plays a dual role, covering both corporate strategy and communications. On the strategy side, we handle the development and execution of DC’s company strategy, including commercial advisory, management support and reporting to the Board of Directors. On the communications side, we are responsible for all aspects of DC’s brand, including media relations, online and offline marketing, sustainability initiatives, employer branding and internal communications. The duality of the team is also reflected in the team members. Some of us have a background in Business, some in Corporate Communications, one is a journalist and we even have an architect in the team (long story), but we all share an uncompromising motivation to take DC’s brand and business to new heights. A unique opportunity to hone your skills and become a marketing wiz
Starting out, you will get a thorough introduction to the team, your tasks and the inner workings of a global, highly ambitious energy trading company. Working closely with your colleagues in Strategy & Communications and our friends in People & Culture, your primary tasks will relate to the execution of DC’s fairs and events road map, including concept development and coordination. On the longer term, you will be responsible for your own projects related to employer branding, marketing campaigns and wherever your skills and interests can create value for the company – maybe you’re keen to hone your digital skills, write copy or even dabble in podcast and video production. In other words, if you’re ambitious and curious, you’ve come to the right place.

  • execute DC’s energy fairs and events road map, including planning, stakeholder coordination and participation
  • support the execution of our employer branding strategy, including coordination of job fairs and student events
  • contribute to internal and external campaigns, from concept development to execution
  • support business teams with marketing deliverables targeting energy producers and large-scale consumers
  • develop quality content for website and social media
  • assist the People & Culture team with proofreading of vacancies


we expect that you:

  • have (or will soon complete) a relevant university degree within Corporate Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Media Studies or similar
  • are either a recent graduate with experience from a student position or a marketing professional with a couple of years’ experience
  • preferably, have experience from a previous position working with marketing projects, events, employer branding or similar
  • have great copywriting and grammar skills
  • are fluent in English – both written and verbal

  • are proactive and outgoing – you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation and represent DC at fairs
  • are detail-oriented and employ a structured approach – besides supporting the team on various tasks, you will be responsible for your own projects and drive the process from start to finish
  • are curious by nature – the team covers a wide range of responsibilities from creative marketing campaigns to in-house podcast and video production to corporate strategy development and executive-level advisory
