
Experienced project manager

Here’s what the job entails
In the role, your primary function will be to lead technical complex projects or parts of programs. You will act as project manager for solution architects, software developers and data engineers. In projects where one of your teammates has the lead, you will support them with your expertise in technical matters if needed. You will gain valuable experience with energy trading and the tech landscape for the trading business.
More concretely, your areas of responsibility will include the following:
- be responsible for project scoping and initiation
- manage high level as well as detailed planning of project activities
- facilitate workshops and drive clarifications within technical matters
- follow up on progress to plans, risk mitigation, budgeting and stakeholder alignment
- lead steerco meetings and project reporting
Meet the team
You will join our Programme Management team which is part of the Technology unit referring directly to the CIO. Our primary area of responsibility is managing large and complex projects or programmes, having IT implementation as a key component.
We are a team of three senior project management specialists with solid experience implementing trade management systems. We have various backgrounds within both IT and business. We are a very social and dedicated team driven by high spirits, humour and a pragmatic approach to getting things done. We are good at building positive relations and team spirit in the projects we are leading while at the same time delivering high quality solutions.

As you will be working with many stakeholders across both our business and within Technology, we imagine that you thrive on working with many different stakeholders. We are also looking for someone who enjoys working independently as well as together with your teammates.
Furthermore, we imagine that you:
- have a minimum of three years’ experience from a similar position where you have been leading IT projects
- are proficient within technical matters so you can challenge and guide the tech project team members while leading them
- have experience in agile methodologies and iterative development approaches
- will thrive in an international setup with cooperation across several countries, involving occasional travel activity
Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
