Show job details

Would you like to make a difference for energy asset owners, especially in Germany, CWE and the Nordic area? Are you eager to play a vital role in executing strategic initiatives for flexible and renewables assets across Europe, while connecting consumers and power producers? If so, you might be the energy originator we are looking for!

The job

Here’s what the job entails

In the role, your primary responsibility will involve exploring opportunities in Germany, with additional support for CWE and the Nordic area. You will contribute to nurturing relationships with asset owners and counterparties, gradually evolving into a key player in the overall value creation of our renewables and flexible assets business.

Concretely, your areas of responsibility will include the following:

  • manage and facilitate relations with renewables and flexible asset owners in Germany, CWE and the Nordic area – for instance Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), corporate PPAs, battery storages and Power-to-X (PtX)
  • manage and facilitate relationships with large energy consumers in Germany, CWE and the Nordic area
  • drive contract negotiations in collaboration with our Legal department
  • increase DC’s market presence related to renewables and flexible assets, focusing primarily on Germany, CWE and the Nordic area
The team

Meet the team

As our new originator, you will be an integral part of our European Origination team, responsible for all customer-related activities for Danske Commodities and Equinor in Europe. Our primary customers are owners of flexible and renewables assets, such as wind turbines or photovoltaic parks. We also connect with large energy consumers and provide them with market access and access to renewable energy. The team’s goal is to be the best in providing solutions that enable our customers to grow their businesses – and we do so by providing full market access for them and their assets.

You will join a team with a deep understanding of the energy market and how Danske Commodities can provide our customers with the best possible market access. In the team, there is an informal tone, and we believe that working as a team is the key to success. We are a diverse team with various nationalities and backgrounds, and our team members are located across European office locations.

You will be vital to the success of Danske Commodities and Equinor by contributing to our joint focus on a customer-centric approach that plays a crucial role in the energy transition

  • have (as a minimum) basic experience with renewables PPAs and corporate PPAs
  • have an understanding of financial instruments
