Here’s what the job entails
In the role, you will be responsible for daily risk monitoring and reporting, thereby gaining a broad understanding of the energy markets.
Concretely, your areas of responsibility will include the following:
- perform daily risk monitoring, reporting and analysis on profit loss and exposures
- contribute to building platform and tools for efficient risk management
- ensure quality and timely fair value reporting for financial reporting
Meet the team
As our new risk analyst, you will join our Risk Control team where we report on Danske Commodities’ market risk exposure. Our primary task is to do daily risk monitoring, reporting. and analysis on profit loss and exposures towards market risks. As such, we guard the company against undesirable exposures and partner with the trading units to create value.
The team consists of six dedicated risk specialists, collaborating with stakeholders across the entire organisation. You will join a team with a great team spirit, always supporting each other – striving to become better through collaborative efforts.

As your work will require thorough analyses and contribute to decision-making, we are looking for someone with a structured approach to solving problems and attention to detail. We also picture you as a team-oriented person who values working across teams.
We also imagine that you:
- have a relevant educational background, for example within Economics, Finance, Mathematics or similar
- have programming experience with for instance SQL, R or Python.
- are curious about risk management and the energy markets
- are proficient in English – both written and verbally
Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
