Head of Gas Digitalisation

Here’s what the job entails
In the role, you will lead a digitalisation team, part of one of Europe’s leading gas trading organisations, by driving and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture. You will be responsible for driving our digitalisation agenda with responsibility for delivering results and growing the team members.
Specifically, your areas of responsibility will include the following:
- lead the Gas Digitalisation team, including setting the strategic direction and ensuring results and solid performance in the team
- motivate and inspire the team as well as ensuring their professional development
- develop the business by proactively identifying, proposing and developing systematic trading opportunities, thereby adding value to existing business areas
- ensure great collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders
Meet the team
The team you will be leading is the core gas digitalisation team of Danske Commodities (DC). The team forms the quantitative side of our European Gas Trading (EGT) unit and works in close collaboration with the trading side of EGT, Gas Trading & Optimisation. Gas Digitalisation consists of three sub-teams; 1) Gas Modelling & Data; 2) Gas Systems & ETRM; and 3) Gas Trade Automation.
It is a diverse team with many different nationalities, but we are all experts within gas quantitative analysis, modelling and digitalisation. Although we have different responsibilities, we all push toward common goals across the overall European Gas Trading unit. And as a team we always seek to share learnings and experiences with each other to ensure that we continuously grow, both individually and as a team.

We are looking for a great communicator who has solid stakeholder management skills. It is also important that you are highly proactive and eager to take responsibility and challenge decisions when needed.
We also imagine that you:
- have a minimum of three years’ experience from a similar leadership position in the energy trading industry (or similar industry)
- have experience with setting a strategic direction
- are highly motivated to contribute to our ambition of digitalising gas trading activities with data-driven decision-making and automatic execution
- are proficient in English – both written and verbal
