The job

Here’s what the job entails

In this role, one of your key tasks will be to support with ensuring the accuracy of trading and operational data – all while actively participating in process automation.

Your areas of responsibility will include:

  • support business controlling by correcting deviations in invoices related to transports and imbalances
  • assist with monthly and yearly reporting to counterparties
  • configure counterparties and tradable products in our trading systems
  • update and maintain a calendar of important events (such as pipeline outages)
  • support ad hoc tasks in the European Gas Trading leadership team

As our new student employee, you will join our Short Term Gas Trading & Operations team which maximises value in the volatile short-term gas markets. We blend a data-driven approach with an efficient setup that integrates trading and operations, enabling us to capture opportunities and restore energy balances close to delivery.

You will join a committed team of people who are in it to win it – together. Our team consists of highly skilled specialists; traders focused on results, analysts from diverse academic backgrounds using innovative approaches to data and automation and tech-savvy developers collaborating closely with the business. With colleagues from five different nationalities and an average age under 30, our team is international and young. We are known for our team spirit and excellent collaboration which is crucial as we heavily rely on each other.

Your qualifications

As you will be working with significant amounts of data which requires solid processing and numerical understanding, we are looking for a structured and detail-oriented colleague. We also value a curious mindset who is motivated to optimise processes where possible. The job involves tasks across various areas, and the willingness to learn can drive your development further.

We also imagine that you:

  • are enrolled in a relevant education within Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar
  • have experience with Excel
  • are proficient in English – both written and verbal

Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
