Executive assistant to Head of Power Trading

The job

Here’s what the job entails

In the role, you will act as a strategic and tactical sparring partner for the Head of European Power Trading (EPT) as well as the EPT leadership team. As such, you will gain valuable experience with setting the strategic direction in the dynamic world of European energy trading, as well as stakeholder and project management. More concretely, your areas of responsibility will include:

  • contribute to strategy development and execution, including facilitation of strategy processes
  • manage and drive strategic projects within European Power Trading as well as across the organisation
  • provide and gather information to develop presentations for a wide group of stakeholders, including our Board of Directors and Senior Leadership group

Meet the team

As our new executive assistant, you will join the EPT business unit which is responsible for Danske Commodities’ trading activities in European power markets. We cover all market time horizons across all European markets. We are dedicated towards automation and algorithmic trading, and we work closely with highly skilled quantitative analysts and software developers within the organisation.

The unit consists of almost 170 motivated people and is divided into six teams. The teams work closely together to ensure competitive edge in trading and strong value creation for our stakeholders.

As a strategic sparring partner for the European Power Trading leadership team, you will get a unique opportunity to proactively contribute to setting the overall strategic direction for the power business unit
Your qualifications

As you will be driving strategic processes forward, we are looking for someone who is eager to take on responsibility. We also picture you as a great team player who has solid stakeholder management skills and is a trusted advisor to the leadership team.

We also imagine that you:

  • are motivated to contribute to positioning European Power Trading as market leaders in all markets we operate  
  • have a relevant educational background within for example Strategy, Business Administration, Management and/or have relevant work experience (for instance within project management or business partnering)
  • have great communication and project management skills – on both an executive and operational level
  • are an experienced user of all Microsoft Office tools
  • are proficient in English – both written and verbal

Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
