Take control of your energy costs. Deliver on your climate commitments.

A corporate PPA gives large energy buyers direct, long-term access to renewable energy at predictable prices – reducing exposure to market volatility and providing the credible, verifiable sustainability credentials that ESG reporting and stakeholder scrutiny demand.

WHAT WE DO

A cPPA partner with skin in the game

Backed by Equinor, we bring the financial strength and long-term commitment to stand firmly behind every corporate PPA. That means we can take on risk, commit across market cycles and structure agreements that hold up under lender and investor scrutiny.

Your cPPA questions. Answered.

What is a corporate PPA and how does it work?

A corporate PPA is a direct, long-term contract between a renewable energy producer and a corporate buyer. It gives businesses access to renewable electricity at a fixed or indexed price, typically for 5 to 15 years. The electricity is delivered through the grid, and renewable energy certificates provide the auditable proof of renewable consumption required for ESG reporting and accounting.

How does a cPPA reduce energy cost volatility?

By locking in a long-term price for a portion of your electricity consumption, a cPPA provides a hedge against wholesale market fluctuations. Rather than being fully exposed to spot market movements, you have a known, predictable cost for the contracted volume – improving budget certainty and reducing financial risk.

What sustainability credentials does a cPPA provide?

A cPPA comes with renewable energy certificates – such as Guarantees of Origin – that provide verifiable, traceable proof that your consumption was matched by renewable generation. These certificates are aligned with recognised reporting standards including the GHG Protocol’s Scope 2 guidance, making them valid for ESG reporting, net-zero commitments and stakeholder communication.

What is the difference between a cPPA and a 24/7 PPA?

A standard cPPA matches your annual consumption with renewable generation on an annual basis. A 24/7 PPA goes further – matching every hour of your consumption with renewable generation from a diversified portfolio, providing hour-by-hour traceability and meeting the highest sustainability standards. The right choice depends on your sustainability ambitions and reporting requirements.

What does the producer side of a cPPA look like?

For renewable producers, a cPPA provides a long-term, creditworthy offtaker for their generation – strengthening the investment case and improving bankability. We manage the full commercial relationship between producer and corporate buyer, handling structuring, optimisation and settlement so both sides of the agreement work seamlessly.
