The job

Here’s what the job entails

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to lead the financial reporting and consolidation of Danske Commodities’ subsidiaries. This includes ensuring compliance with accounting standards and coordinating with external auditors.

More specifically, your responsibilities include:

  • taking ownership for parts of the financial reporting, consolidation, and audits of company subsidiaries

  • assisting with monthly, quarterly and annual close, including reporting to parent company Equinor

  • driving finance projects across the organisation and proactively contributing to the continuous maturing of team processes

  • collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders across the organisation

Meet the team

You will join our Financial Controlling team, where we set high standards for delivering quality financial reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. We are the main responsible for Danske Commodities’ financial group reporting, ensuring lean processes and consistently high quality. In addition, we act as internal advisors when onboarding new activities and entering new market areas.

We are a team of seven dedicated colleagues with a wide range of competencies centered around financial reporting. As part of a long growth journey, we have become experts in working agile and solution oriented.

You will gain valuable experience with financial reporting in a global context, in an industry that never stands still.
Your qualifications

As you will be joining a fast-paced organisation, collaboration and mutual support are key to our success. For that reason, we value a positive mindset and a willingness to tackle tasks of all sizes. We are also looking for someone who enjoys working in a structured manner, and if a structured process is lacking, we hope you can provide it.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

  • hold a relevant educational background within Auditing, HD(R) or similar

  • have minimum two years’ experience from a similar position

  • have experience with IFRS (or are curious to learn)

  • have an interest in working with large data sets and developing models in Excel, VBA, SQL or similar

  • are proficient in English – both written and spoken

Please note that prior knowledge of the energy sector is not required for this role.
