Fun fact: I am a big World of Warcraft nerd
I grew up in a small farming village in Southern Bulgaria just between the borders of Greece and Macedonia. My summers would pass with collecting peaches and cherries during the day and then “trading” them during the evenings.
DC is a company that challenges its employees and develops them. I am a perfect example of this. Starting out as a student employee, my manager, teammates and stakeholders shaped me into a leader. Danske Commodities is a place full of opportunities - how can you miss out on that?
Kiril Proykov, Head of Process Improvement & Automation
My journey in DC started as a student employee where I was analysing operations and building tools for our traders. Now I am heading up our Process Improvement & Automation team located in IT. Within the team there is a set of specialists that work with technologies such as Python, SQL and Robotics (RPA) together with business engagement and process analytics to reduce waste and inefficiencies in the business.
It is impossible to compare two work days. Some days I might spend the whole day in meetings discussing solutions, strategy or people development. Other days I might spend on preparing presentations for stakeholders or doing various automation projects. However, most of my days pass in talking with people and making sure we move towards our collective goals.
The complexity, variety and freedom. Working with automation in front-, middle- and back office processes is complex and challenging. Furthermore, there are so many different projects that require unique solutions. These two factors together with the freedom of exploring how to solve problems better makes the job satisfying and interesting.
The success of our company is built on having the brightest minds working across the entire organisation.
