Fun fact: I have once been locked in a room and managed to get out thanks to a pair of tweezers
I have been a quantitative analyst since I have graduated in 2017 with my master’s degree in Quantitative Finance. I have been able to evolve in various sectors across Europe. Indeed, from assisting fund managers in in Paris to being a strategist on the US stock market in London, passing by valuating power plants, my past 4 years have been rich in challenging experiences.
Basically, I was looking to keep doing the job that I love, but in the energy sector. I was attracted to the company culture within DC and the working environment.
Eva Caruette-Teissier, Market Risk Analyst
As a market risk analyst, my job consists in helping the risk managers to monitor and assess the market risk taken by our trading teams. In practice, it implies not only having to analyse numbers but also executing any tasks regarding the data we use in Market Risk which can facilitate the Risk Management. An example could be building tools or risk measures.
I have no typical work day, since it depends on the projects I have to conduct and the requests that can pop up during the day. Usually, if I am performing an analysis, I will have some days to collect and clean the data I need, some days to do the actual analysis (sometimes do additional testing), and then finally format and present the results.
