Fun fact: I'm a former fistball player for the Danish National Team (Google it!)
I was born and raised in the southern part of Jutland (Sønderjylland) with a German mother and a Danish father. Being part of the German minority, I went to the local German Kindergarten and schools.
I am highly interested in all kinds of sports. Started supporting Borussia Dortmund in the early 90’s where Flemming Povlsen still played, even before they started winning trophies.
I am Currently living in Tranbjerg with my two daughters
Actually I was tired of spending up to 2,5 hours of commuting every day, so I found a job ad by the former Business Controlling Team. As my previous manager at Siemens Wind Power said back then, ‘DC is the latest sh… in the Energy Sector’. So I applied for the job, Maria Terp and Helle Ø did the rest in convincing me to join this incredible company. Actually, I think my manager at Siemens was a bit jealous!
Kim Johannsen, Credit Risk Analyst
In my role as Credit Risk Analyst my job is to give our traders the best possible trading opportunities when it comes to both credit lines and trade periods, without compromising DC’s overall risk appetite.
Typically there are some daily routines in the morning. But after that no day looks like the other. Especially after the Equinor acquisition, the whole Credit Risk setup has been revised and a lot of development is ongoing at the moment. Also with the addition of new resources in the Risk Management team, now is the time to go through the whole data- and tool setup to make the Credit Risk function more robust for DC’s future expansion.
As I said, no day looks the same, and a lot of responsibility is given to the employees in the team. Also, the daily interactions with different traders makes the job interesting as we are close to decision making in our Power, Gas and Climate Market teams.
The success of our company is built on having the brightest minds working across the entire organisation.
