Education: Master's in IT
Position: CIO and Head of IT
Employed since: September 2019 (and in 2013-2015)
Fun fact: I have worked with IT in special circumstances; being part of a Red Cross Relief Operation in Northern Uganda in 2007 following severe floodings
I’m married and have two small kids. I live in Skødstrup just outside Aarhus. Born and raised in Northern Jutland (Himmerland) before moving to Aarhus to study.
Employment-wise, I have always worked in the financial IT space, with critical systems and infrastructure being it supporting trading operations or payment infrastructure.
Besides being CIO in DC, a few years ago I worked for Danske Bank, Nets and Bankdata i.e. on SVP and VP level.
Since I’m not really a newcomer, I knew about the DC values and setting so obviously I wanted to rejoin. Furthermore, I truly believe in our 2025 vision and want to play my part in getting there and just be part of that exciting journey ahead.
Rasmus Lundgaard Pedersen, CIO and Head of IT
I’m Chief Information Officer in DC, which means that I’m overall responsible for our IT strategy and all IT-related activities. In DC, we do almost everything in-house, from development to core infrastructure.
Actually it’s hard to describe a typical day since we’re operating with so many exciting things in a fast paced environment, but I try to balance being close to people and the daily deliveries with the more forward-looking activities – it’s extremely important for me and all of IT to have “our eyes on the ball” and continuously adapt to our business needs.
There is so much to choose from, but if I should take only two elements:
The success of our company is built on having the brightest minds working across the entire organisation.
Get a sense of what it is like to work in a company scoring in the 'Top of Class' category on employee satisfaction.
