Senior back office analyst, São Paulo
If you have an eye for detail and excel at optimising processes and collaborating with different stakeholders, this role could be perfect for you.
Here’s what the job entails
As our new senior back office analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our trading activities in the Brazilian energy market. From managing contracts and payments to sharing insights that guide key decisions, you will be a cornerstone of our back-office operations.
Concretely, your responsibilities include:
- registering and refining contracts for our trading activities
- monitoring energy balances on CCEE
- ensuring all contracts are signed and comply with commercial terms
- managing the discount process for incentivised power (RETUSD/RETUST)
- coordinating invoices with external providers and managing payments in collaboration with the Finance team
- delivering clear and timely reports to colleagues and external stakeholders
Meet the team
You will work from our vibrant office in the heart of Brazil’s largest city, São Paulo, alongside a team of 15 talented colleagues across trading, finance, risk, legal and administration. Our team is very open-minded and full of energy, and we enjoy the combination of collaborating on our tasks and socialising outside working hours to bond, support and inspire each other, all while having fun. You will report to the Head of Back Office Brazil and collaborate closely with trading and risk specialists.
But enough about us… over to you!
We are looking for a colleague with an analytical and detail-oriented mindset who takes initiative and is ready to improve processes independently. As you will be collaborating with various stakeholders, we also picture you as an excellent communicator.
We also imagine that you:
- have a background in administration and experience in back-office operations
- bring at least two years of experience with CliqCCEE and energy trading platforms
- thrive on structure and precision
- speak and write English fluently
Please note that it is a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
