The job

Here’s what the job entails

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of our data models and be part of building our models and reports in, for example, Power BI, SQL and Python. You will also act as a business partner to the organisation and be involved in daily operations, gaining valuable experience in banking, FX, liquidity management and guarantees.   

Concretely, your responsibilities include:

  • taking part in daily operations, including liquidity funding, handling FX risk and cash flow forecast reporting
  • being responsible for our models and having a general understanding of the data used in the team, for example defining how we calculate FX exposure as well as setting up and building our cash flow forecast report
  • being the main contact for relevant teams in Technology and Risk Management regarding models and data
  • acting as a business partner to the organisation on treasury
The team

Meet the team

Treasury is part of our Finance & Risk Management Unit. We act as Danske Commodities’ in-house bank, and our primary tasks focus on liquidity, FX and collateral management. On a daily basis, we secure funding for our accounts and make sure we optimise our liquidity. We also need to ensure that we always have enough trading lines with our counterparties in terms of cash deposits or bank guarantees. In addition, we take care of our FX exposure, and ensure that our business  is as FX-neutral as possible.

You will join a team of three skilled specialists, who each have different capabilities. In our team, we strive to be the best at what we do, and we constantly seek to challenge standard practices to ensure we are on top of the newest knowledge.

Your qualifications

As you will be working with our models and data, we picture you as someone who thrives when working in a detail-oriented and precise way. As the team covers a wide range of tasks and always supports each other in getting the job done, we are also looking for a positive colleague who is comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions.

We also imagine that you:

  • have a relevant educational background in Finance, Economics or a similar field
  • have at least one year of experience in a similar role or the financial sector
  • have an interest in the financial market
  • have experience with or an interest in programming in Python, Matlab, R, SQL or similar languages
  • are proficient in English – both written and spoken

Please note that prior knowledge of the energy industry is not required for this role.
