
Asset optimisation specialist

Here’s what the job entails
In this role, your primary responsibilities will be to cover the operational shift as well as optimise and support our flexible asset portfolio, such as CHPs , batteries and renewables assets. You will act as the link between all our customers’ assets and the power market, continuously being in dialogue with asset operators and making optimisation decisions that create value for the owners.
Concretely, your responsibilities include:
- covering the 24/7 shift for the flexible assets portfolio. This includes monitoring external communication, system surveillance, asset performance, market opportunities and ad-hoc problem solving. The team covers three shifts on a rotation of 07:00-15:00, 15:00-22:00 and 22:00-07:00. The latter is covered via an on-call shift.
- covering the shift from 07:00-15:00 as part of the shift rotation and covering evening and on-call shifts when needed.
- assisting our team with market research to helping define product requirements for our flexibility services and solutions.
- planning and executing online webinars to provide market insights to our customers.
- assisting the team on projects and carry out ad-hoc analyses
Meet the team
As our new optimisation specialist, you will join the Flexible Asset Management team in which we develop Danske Commodities’ flexible asset business. Our core task is to optimise Danske Commodities’ portfolio of flexible assets – finding the perfect balance between internal development opportunities and our customers’ expectations. The team is currently on a growth journey, with a growing number of customers, services and geographical presence. As such, we are looking for a new colleague to take part in managing the operations and trading of our flexibility portfolio.
We are a team of 10 specialists within asset optimisation and asset-backed trading. We are a dedicated and motivated team that always seeks to maximise value for both Danske Commodities and the asset owners.
You will have the opportunity to enter the energy trading industry and take charge of operating our flexible assets portfolio. Your role will be crucial in maximising the value of our customers’ flexibility while ensuring that all products and processes function seamlessly

As you will be working with critical power grid systems and data that require great attention to detail, we are looking for someone who is well-structured, precise and ready to make a difference. Also, as the team covers a wide range of tasks and we always support each other in getting the job done, we imagine that you take a positive view – no job too big, no job too small.

- have a relevant educational background, for example within Engineering, Finance, Economics or similar
- are motivated by delivering great customer service and products
- are fluent in Danish and English
