Here’s what the job entails

In the role, your primary responsibility will be to act as a vital link between understanding our business and collaborating with our software developers to ensure our ETRM system meets and complies with our business’ requirements. A core part of the job is to ensure that the gas traders are able focus less on systems and more on reading and trading the market.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • supporting the entire functionality of our core trading systems
  • acting as systems expert in our gas scheduling system, including configuration of new markets and assets
  • configuration of our counterparty communication
  • becoming a central part of facilitating the implementation of new systems, including identifying requirements from the business and mapping data processes
  • creation and classification of storage and non-standard contracts

The team

Meet the team

You will join the Gas Systems & ETRM team, we are responsible for the core IT systems in our Gas business, including ETRM, gas scheduling and counterparty communication. This responsibility covers the integration of new systems, identifying and mapping data processes, workflows and value chains across the organisation. The team also facilitates the development, enhancement and automation of the system landscape.

Your qualifications

  • have a background in IT, Engineering, Natural Science or Economics
  • are a great communicator with an eye for improving business processes
  • can work analytically with and with a flair for problem solving

Please note that prior knowledge of the energy sector is not required for this role.
