The job

Here’s what the job entails

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain the software systems that support Danske Commodities’ Flexible Asset Management operations across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and the UK. These systems underpin the management of Combined Heat and Power (CHP), battery, and renewable energy assets.

Your responsibilities include:

  • developing high-quality software solutions that maximise the value of our customers’ flexible assets
  • shaping the architecture and technical direction of critical systems, leveraging the latest technologies where appropriate
  • sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues, and fostering a collaborative development environment
  • participating in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, to ensure continuous operational coverage
  • contributing to our long-term vision and delivering initiatives with a strong focus on operational excellence
The team

Meet the team

You will join a team of 12 experienced and dedicated software developers specialising in asset optimisation. Together, we develop software solutions that help balance the Nordic power grid and optimise Danske Commodities’ portfolio of flexible energy assets.

Our culture is built on collaboration, high standards, and the belief that work should be both challenging and enjoyable. We support one another, united by a mindset that no task is too big or too small, and a shared passion for growing alongside our business stakeholders.

Step into the dynamic world of energy trading, where you’ll play a key role in enhancing the efficiency and resilience of the Nordic electricity grid. As part of our team of software developers, you’ll help create innovative software solutions designed to manage a diverse portfolio of flexible energy assets.

You take a holistic approach to software design and possess a strong understanding of the broader business context.

We also imagine that you:

  • hold a relevant educational background in software development
  • bring 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in software development, architecture, and agile methodologies
  • have a solid foundation in .NET or a comparable high-level language and framework (we use .NET, C#, SQL, Event Sourcing, and Domain-Driven Design)
