The job

Here’s what the job entails

In this role, you will work closely with the payroll team on day-to-day tasks and ongoing projects, while also having your own responsibilities. You will also communicate directly with colleagues across the organisation and provide support on various payroll-related matters, primarily via email.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • handling monthly payroll-related tasks such as bookkeeping, reconciliations, bank payments and employee on- and offboarding
  • becoming a superuser of our HR system and being responsible for registering employee changes and producing various reports
  • monitoring and responding to employee enquiries in a shared payroll mailbox
  • assisting with administrative tasks related to payroll processes
  • contributing to the optimisation of processes and the implementation of new tools and systems
The team

Meet the team

As our new junior payroll specialist, you will join the Rewards & Global Mobility team in People & Culture. Our team is responsible for running the monthly payroll and everything related to remuneration such as benchmarking, salary reviews and bonus processes for our Danish company and our subsidiaries located across the world. Besides payroll, colleagues in the team also cover global mobility, employment law, benefits and events.

We are a team of five specialists and two students with various backgrounds in economics and law. We are a dedicated team that prioritises giving the best possible service to the entire organisation and contributes to an open team culture.

This is a great opportunity to gain skills within finance, communication, data handling and optimisation, while making a real impact in a global energy trading company and being part of a collaborative, skilled and fun-loving team.
Your qualifications

But enough about us… over to you!

Since you will be handling payroll, we imagine you enjoy working with data and have a keen eye for detail, as accuracy matters in this role. As an important touchpoint for the entire organisation, we also picture you as a confident communicator who brings a positive attitude. As the team covers a wide range of tasks, collaboration and flexibility are key to success, which is why we are looking for someone who is happy to lend a hand where needed.

We also imagine that you:

  • are currently enrolled in a relevant education such as Economics, Finance or similar
  • are structured and analytical in your thinking
  • thrive with responsibility and enjoy collaborating with various stakeholders
  • are proficient in English – both written and spoken

Please note that prior knowledge of the energy sector is not required for this role.
