Here’s what the job entails

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include covering the operational shift and optimising and supporting our flexible asset portfolio such as CHPs, batteries and renewables assets. You will act as the link between all our customers’ assets and the power market, maintaining continuous dialogue with asset operators and making optimisation decisions that create value for the asset owners

More specifically, your responsibilities include:

  • support in covering the 24/7 shift for the flexible assets portfolio. This includes monitoring external communication, system surveillance and ad-hoc problem solving. The team covers three shifts on a rotation of 7-15, 15-22 and 22-7. The latter is currently covered via an on-call shift.
  • participate in the shift scheme, which will be your main focus, and assist the team with ad-hoc analyses

Meet the team

As our new junior optimisation specialist, you will join the Flexible Asset Management team, where we develop Danske Commodities’ flexible asset business. Our core task is to optimise Danske Commodities’ portfolio of flexible assets, finding the perfect balance between internal development opportunities and our customers’ expectations. The team is currently on a growth journey, with a growing number of asset portfolios, and we are looking for a new team member to take part in the operational shift scheme.

We are a team of 10 specialists within asset optimisation and asset-backed trading. We are a dedicated and motivated team that always seeks to maximise value for both DC and the asset owners who trust us with their assets.

You will get the opportunity to join the energy trading industry and support the operations of our flexible assets portfolio – ensuring that systems and processes are always working as intended and assets are responding as expected
Your qualifications

As you will be working with critical power grid systems and data that require great attention to detail, we are looking for someone who is well-structured, precise and ready to make a difference for our customers. Since the team covers a wide range of tasks, and supports each other in getting the job done, it is important that you have a positive attitude where no job is seen as too big or too small.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

  • are currently enrolled in an education within Business, Engineering or similar
  • can work approximately 15-20 hours per week (most of the shifts will be evening shifts from 14:45-22:00)
  • are motivated by delivering excellent customer service, monitoring processes and creating value for our customers
  • are fluent in both Danish and English
