The job

Here’s what the job entails

In the role, you will contribute with your expertise on financial reporting to ensure high quality in our financial reporting (IFRS). Our business model does not always align with IFRS standards and therefore, we continuously work with exciting and challenging tasks related to complex accounting treatment.

Your areas of responsibility will include the following:

  • ensure correct accounting treatment and high quality under IFRS for some of our subsidiaries in collaboration with senior colleagues in Finance
  • participate in solving complex accounting matters when the business onboards new products and expands to new global markets
  • engage in ensuring that our internal control environment is compliant with SOX standards
  • participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, including coordination with both internal and external stakeholders – and be a proactive part of maturing processes in Finance
The team

Meet the team

You will join Group Financial Controlling, where we are responsible for all financial reporting towards executive management, our parent company Equinor and external stakeholders. At the same time, we act as internal advisors when onboarding new products to the business and entering new market areas.

We are a team of seven experienced colleagues with a wide range of competencies centralised around financial reporting. We always encourage knowledge sharing and collegial inspiration to strengthen daily operations and maintain a high level of professionalism. Furthermore, we have a solid focus on collaboration, supporting each other and, not least, enjoying our daily work.

We operate in a global setting with a continuous flow of exciting new tasks – our great teamwork is key to finding the best solutions!
Your qualifications

But enough about us… over to you!

As you will be working with financial controlling, we imagine that you are enthusiastic about financial reporting and are motivated by adding value to the business. We also picture  you as a structured and  proactive person, as your role requires you to take initiative and pay great attention to detail.

We imagine that you:

  • hold a relevant degree in Auditing or similar (e.g. HD(R) or Cand.Merc.Aud)
  • have a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience within auditing and/or financial controlling and group reporting in a global organisation
  • are an experienced user of ERP systems, consolidation tools and Excel
  • have prior experience with IFRS
