
Senior finance business analyst

Here’s what the job entails
In the role, your primary function is to be a trusted finance partner for our business unit directors by providing transparent and relevant reporting and analysis.
More specifically, your responsibilities include:
- preparing and communicating monthly financial reporting for a business unit
- building and maintaining reports that improve transparency in numbers reported on top line and costs
- communicating trends and underlying causes to various stakeholders
- supporting business and unit leaders with analysis and the design of KPIs to track performance
- engaging in cross-functional projects
Meet the team
You will join our Business Analysis team, where we perform financial reporting and analysis both on a corporate level and for the business units. We are responsible for driving analytical insights into Danske Commodities’ financial performance for leadership and other relevant stakeholders.
We are a team of five dedicated specialists, each with a background in finance. We are committed to delivering financial insights that help shape decisions for our stakeholders. Rather than simply presenting numbers, we strive to tell the story behind them to bringing meaning and context to our analysis. As you will be working with reporting and analysis, it is important that you take an analytical, structured and curious approach to data and problem-solving. Since you will be cooperating with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation, we also picture you as outgoing, with great stakeholder management skills.
We also imagine that you:
- hold a relevant educational background within finance
- have at least three years of experience in a similar role or within finance
- are proficient in Power BI or SQL – or keen to learn
- have solid analytical and communication skills
- are proficient in English – both written and spoken
Please note that prior knowledge of the energy industry is not required for this role.
