Senior software engineer
Are you passionate about solving meaningful business challenges with technology? Join us to make a real impact on energy trading and help accelerate the shift to renewables.
Here’s what the job entails
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll help evolve and maintain software systems that support our asset activities, such as wind turbines, batteries, photovoltaic parks, gas turbines, and heat pumps. These systems are essential for workflows across the customer journey, from onboarding assets and managing data to settlement processes. Your first contributions will include optimising settlement processes across a wide range of assets.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
develop quality software solutions that enhance customer experience and streamline business processes
ensure our systems remain modern, scalable, and aligned with business needs
translate business needs into resilient software through close collaboration with stakeholders
contribute to the long-term vision while delivering reliable, modern solutions
share knowledge and mentor colleagues to strengthen team capability and collaboration
Meet the team
You will join a skilled and supportive product team spanning software engineering, data engineering, product management, product design, solution architecture, master data, and finance. Together, we own the full tech stack behind the customer journey where we are identifying pain points, building end-to-end solutions, and driving automation.
Our culture is built on openness, shared responsibility, and mutual support. We value every contribution and encourage each other to grow. We approach challenges together, sometimes stepping outside our comfort zones to support one another and grow as a unit. Our common mindset: no job is too big, no job is too small.
We empower the customer journey with end-to-end software solutions that maximise value and reduce complexity for our business and customers. Your work will directly support the energy transition by making renewables easier to trade, operate and scale.
But enough about us… over to you!
We imagine you are driven by purpose and passionate about designing robust software that supports real-world business goals. You take a holistic view of your work, connecting the dots between technology, people, and process. And you’re not just a strong developer – you’re a thoughtful teammate who helps the whole team move forward.
We also imagine that you:
bring 8+ years of experience in software development, architecture, and agile methodologies, but we value a variety of backgrounds and relevant experience
knowledge of .NET, C#, SQL or similar technologies
have experience with distributed systems, event-driven design and Doman-Driven Design
are curious to learn about the energy and renewables industry
Please note that prior knowledge of the energy sector is not required for this role.
