Here’s what the job entails

As our new Junior Commercial Asset Manager, your primary role will be to assist the commercial asset management team, focusing on Nordic customers (developers and owners of renewables and flexible assets) across the European energy markets, with various commercial tasks. A key part of the role is also to engage with stakeholders, build relations and navigate across the entire organisation.

More specifically, your responsibilities include:

  • handling contract management and preparing tender and sales material

  • joining external meetings to help deliver solutions that support customer growth

  • contributing to planning, execution, and participation of commercial events, conferences and fairs

  • collaborating closely with middle and back-office teams

  • driving and participating in various internal projects

The team

Meet the team

You will join our Commercial Asset Management team, dedicated to optimising Danske Commodities’ customer-related activities in Europe. The team collaborates closely with our European Origination team to grow our customer business by for instance drafting contracts, managing tender processes and driving business development.

We share a deep understanding of energy markets and what our customers need. We keep an informal tone, and we believe teamwork is key to success. As a diverse team of market specialists across various European offices, nationalities and backgrounds, we bring together different perspectives to create real impact.

You will gain great insight and hands-on experience into the energy markets – something, they don’t teach you in school. You will craft solutions that empower our customers to grow their businesses.
Your qualifications

As you will be working in a high-paced environment with various tasks, we imagine that you bring a holistic and structured approach to your work and naturally consider different perspectives in your analysis. We also expect that you enjoy working with people and find energy in being service-minded and collaborative.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

  • are enrolled in a relevant education within Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Energy Economics or similar

  • are interested in energy markets - and eager to learn more

  • can work approximately 15-20 hours a week

  • are proficient in Danish and English – both written and verbal – let us know if you speak any additional languages

Please note that prior knowledge of the energy sector is not required for this role.
