Trade controller
Thrive in an operations team? As Trade Controller, you’ll handle key daily tasks, contribute to an efficient trading setup and gain insight into the products and processes behind global energy trading
Here’s what the job entails
In this role, you will act as a key stakeholder for both our trading and support teams. You will be responsible for maintaining consistency in daily operations while proactively ensuring that future business cases comply with external reporting requirements and deliveries.
More specifically, your responsibilities include:
ensuring high-quality execution and maintenance of daily tasks, such as exchange clearing, regulatory reporting, declarations and controlling of trade registrations
ensuring that trade controlling operations are carried out accurately and on time
handling controlling and settlement of certificate trades
contributing to the optimisation of operational processes
Meet the team
You will join our Business & Trade Controlling team, which works across business areas with controlling, border trade validation, regulatory reporting and master data. As an operational link in our business value chain, we create value by ensuring proper controlling, timely reporting and solid master data. Bringing these responsibilities together in one team strengthens our operational setup and paves the way for continued growth of our business.
The team consists of eleven skilled, quality-minded and committed colleagues, each contributing with their diverse professional and educational backgrounds.
We are part of an ever-changing energy industry, where our daily operations blend structure, new interesting cases and continuous optimisation – and we succeed by doing it together.
But enough about us… over to you!
To ensure well-running business operations, we are looking for someone who thrives in operational work, takes an analytical approach to problem-solving and sees opportunities where others see problems. We also picture you as someone who is not afraid to take responsibility, drive things forward and challenge the status quo.
Furthermore, we imagine that you:
are a recent graduate within for example Finance or Economics or have 1-2 years of experience from a similar position. However, your background is not the tipping point
are great at coordinating and enjoy collaborating with different stakeholders
are proficient in English – both written and verbal
