Danske Commodities welcomes Carl Hagert as its new Vice President, Head of Origination

Starting 1 September 2016, Carl Hagert will step in as VP, Head of Origination. Here you can get a brief introduction to the 47-year-old Swede, whose focus will be to further develop the commercial strategy and maintaining a culture of success.

Carl Hagert, what has attracted you to dc?
A number of things.  First of all, dc is the leading player in Scandinavia in energy trading. It is a young, driven company that has a focus on renewables, something that is a focus of mine as well.

What do you bring to the table?
A strong European experience. I’ve spend 11 years working in Europe, so I bring with me a maturity and a European outlook that is not that common in Scandinavia and which can be useful in dc.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I very much enjoy being outside. In the winter I’m an avid skier, and in the summer I kite surf.
